Overview
The World is Fun is 100% volunteer run. We support Seattle by connecting volunteers, local businesses, and Seattle nonprofits to create a mutually beneficial community for everyone involved. In other words – we can’t do this without your help! There are about a million ways to help TWIF - from volunteering to donating to simply tweeting – but we don’t have room to list all one million, so here are a few. (When you come up with one of the 999,980 ways to help that isn’t on this page – contact us! We’re always open to new and creative ways to get involved with our community!)
Volunteer
The World is Fun invites YOU to join us. Believe it or not, you – the average 20/30 year old – are a rarity in the world of philanthropy. Why? Because someone told you that volunteering wasn’t fun. What if you could go out and do something that fits your lifestyle – cooking dinner with a group of friends, spending some time outdoors, or meeting up at a local festival – and volunteer at the same time? It can be done! TWIF strives to make every volunteer experience a positive one, and one of our TWIF Leads attends each volunteer opportunity to ensure that fun happens (don’t worry, they’re trained in the art of fun). TWIF encourages groups of friends to volunteer together but many volunteer opportunities end in new friendships too!

Don’t worry. Even if you have no time to volunteer, you can still help us help others. The World is Fun is a 100% volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that functions solely on the generous contributions of the community it supports. Your tax-deductible donations can be made via US Mail or by clicking the Donate button below. We don’t know how to thank you enough – your donation just made the world a little more fun! TWIF Lead
Our TWIF Leads program teaches people the ins and outs of volunteer management. Our TWIF Leads coordinate with volunteers and attend volunteer events to oversee a group of volunteers. The TWIF Lead is the go-to person for the event they are overseeing, and they are an especially important point of contact for new volunteers or those who might be volunteering solo. In order to participate in our TWIF Leads Program, you must have successfully completed 3 events as a TWIF volunteer and be willing to lead at least 4 volunteer events per year. Workplace Giving
Does your employer offer gift matching or payroll deductions as a way to designate a gift to a charitable cause? The World is Fun is a 501(3)c organization and accepts gifts through all workplace giving programs. Monetary donations received help TWIF plan and promote events that benefit Seattle nonprofits as well as create and sustain unique programs, such as our Jubilee Community Meal Program. If your employer does not have a giving program in place, you can donate on your own – or have your employer contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss with them the ways their business can help TWIF and how doing so can help their business!
In Kind Giving
The World is Fun’s unique events and volunteer opportunities are made possible by the generous support of the Seattle community. That’s where you come in! We are always open to creative and diverse donations, but a few things we can never get enough of are: food items (nonperishable), assorted prizes & gift bag items to offer at events (various products like cases of beverages, tee-shirts, and gift certificates are always a big hit!), promotional/printed materials (flyers, posters, buttons, stickers). Donating products and/or services to TWIF is not a one-way street, mind you. We will ensure that by supporting a good cause, your business is also supported. Ways we support our generous donators include featuring logos on web and printed promotional materials, mention at the event/on our website, and our eternal gratitude! If you or your business has a product or service you’d like to donate (get creative – we can find a way to use just about anything!) please contact us!
